IndyStorm 2022

Welcome to the Kings of War IndyStorm Cell.  This is a 2300 pt, 2 day, 5 round tournament, originally scheduled to be held at the IndyStorm convention, but now held on it's own.

Army Lists Due: 2/10/2022.  Use the Send to Tournament option in kow.easyarmy.com (do not worry about adding the Storm Elemental to this version of your list - copies of the stat block will be available to all players at the event).

Max Players: 24

Storm Elemental.  Every player must bring a storm elemental model - this MUST be on a 50 mm base (no 'extraordinary' basing allowed).  The best model (as voted by the players) will win an award.  This will be used in all the game, but is free on the list (worth 200 pts if killed however).

Storm Elemental

Each player must bring a Storm Elemental model.  This is based on a 50mm monster base (it cannot be bigger).

This is a free part of your force, but if it is killed it counts for 200 pts.

The elemental will have the following Stats:

Elements will have a subtype that will be announced before each game as part of the scenario

-       Lightning – add Lightning Bolt(4), Cloak of Death

Army lists sent by February 10th to OhioWarKings@gmail.com will receive 5 sportsmanship points. 

If we have at least 16 people at the event, then we will provide pizza for lunch on Sunday.  In addition, Indy Storm has said that is we have 16 or more people then they will get a food truck for us on Saturday!

War Kings GT 2019

Welcome to the War Kings GT 2019.  This is the largest and longest running Kings of War Grand Tournament in Ohio.

This year we are again holding it at the Wingate Hotel in Fairborn over March 9th & 10th, 2019.
This year we are moving to the huge gaming space at Epic Loot's Springfield store on May 25th and 26th, 2019.

Cost is $50.  Please paypal your payment (please include your name, army and gaming club) to ohiowarkings@gmail.com (please use the friends and family option).  The entry fees go towards prizes, terrain, mats, supplies and other expenses the come with large events.  In addition, every participant will receive $15 in store credit on the day of the event as well.

Cutoff date for refunds is May 19th, 2019 - after that date we will not be able to refund anyone that has to cancel (sorry, but we have to make commitments based on numbers).

Players who submit their lists by May 19th (midnight EDT)  (send to ohiowarkings@gmail.com ) will receive 10 bonus sportsmanship points.  Late list submitted after then but before the event will receive 5 bonus points, and lists not submitted until the day of the event receive no bonus points.

There will be five games (3 on Saturday, 2 on Sunday) - all games will be 2250 points.  We will be using the CoK 2019 rules.

Since we are at a game store, unfortunately we do not have any deals with hotels.

War King

• A custom Living Legend hero will lead each player's forces as the War King. This unique character may be used in every game played in addition to the regular force chosen by the player and does not need to be unlocked. 
• Your War King should be named. 
• Rules for creating your War King are as follows:
• Choose a normal hero (not a current Living Legend) allowed by your main force. You MAY NOT choose a hero of type Hero(Mon) - sorry, no upgraded dragons!
• A unique artifact may be created by choosing up to three legal artifacts. The rules for those three artifacts are combined into a single artifact which is given a new name for the Living Legend. The total cost of the artifacts chosen are added to the cost of the hero. This does not restrict the use of those individual artifacts by other units in the main army force. 
• Any upgrades normally allowed by the basic hero chosen may also be chosen by this Living Legend. 
• The Living Legend is given a single stat line improvement of 1 point to any stat of their choosing. The maximum Defense may NOT be increased above 5+ (however if the hero already has a 6+ defense then they keep it). The maximum Range or Melee stat is 2+. If Nerve is chosen, both the Waiver and Route values are raised by 1. This adjustment does not increase the point value calculating the value of this character. 
• This hero DOES NOT need to be unlocked via a regiment/horde/legion.  Everyone MUST take one, regardless of any other heroes they take in the army.
• The maximum total point value allowed for this Living Legend is 250 points.

Gem City Massacre 2018

Welcome to the 4th annual Gem City Massacre.  Kara Brown will again be running this event. Once again it will be held at Epic Loot in Centerville on December 1st, 2018.

This will be a 3 round, 1995 pt tournament, using the CoK 2018 rules. In addition, Destiny of Kings and Edge of the Abyss living legends (heroes AND units) will also be allowed!  The 1.8 version of the FAQ will also be used.
